The Govenor of South Australia - His Excellency Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce visited Koonibba on Monday October 27th 2008.
It was part of his intinerary of his visits to Aboriginal Communities from Ceduna to Oak Valley.
During his visit to Koonibba, our CEO John Thomas and Chairperson Bernard Porta gave him a tour of the community:- War Memorial, Child Care Centre, School, Look out and Rockhole.
The school provided a light lunch and the Govenor was impressed with our community and we were very honoured that he visited us.
